🤔How Can I Use the ServiceNow Sidebar Discussion Feature🤔

To access the ServiceNow Sidebar Discussion feature follow these steps:

  • First navigate to any record within ServiceNow, such as an incident or a change request.
  • Next, on the top of the of the screen, you'll see the Sidebar Discussions icon. Click on it to open the discussion pane.
  • Next, click on the "This Record" menu option and click "+New Discussion".

  • Next, add the users who you would like to chat with by searching for them and selecting them in the "Add Participants" field.
  • Next, enter the message that you would like to share in the "message" box. 
  • Then, click "start discussion".

Next, the user who the message was directed to will receive a popup notification in the Sidebar Discussion menu indicating that they have a new message. They can reply directly in the Sidebar Discussion menu.
